Thank you for the nice words – and I think you articulated something I was coy about: that libraries must evolve and keep providing a service relevant to their local populace – but what wouldn’t I give to visit a library with the atmosphere I first fell in love with? And with weirdly old-fashioned stock?

This Wednesday I’m finally joining Lambeth Libraries (wherever you live in London, you can join any borough’s libraries – I think this was extended nationwide last year) and hope soon to discover the delights of these gorgeous places:

http://is.gd/WZgIGj and http://is.gd/l2gMhVNick Campbellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01618461043660129105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7129420625439819885.post-43604309451156422392011-01-24T02:05:02.194-08:002011-01-24T02:05:02.194-08:00That Abbey Library St. Gallen in the top image app...That Abbey Library St. Gallen in the top image appears to be full of ghosts!Stuart Douglashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07232782649771676547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7129420625439819885.post-43355161547150804862011-01-23T11:57:29.293-08:002011-01-23T11:57:29.293-08:00I always loved a trip to the Central Library. Those of us with constant access easily forget what it would be like to have no computer/net access.Selinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00435139717543390497noreply@blogger.com
